Was looking for a powerbank to power my travel router for Asia. Probably cheaper to get it delivered to me than getting it there.

Is that serious or an exaggeration? I saw many poor reviews.

This has been dropping in price constantly since last couple of weeks ($9.xx -> $8.24 -> $7.14 now). This is not the fastest and latest (micro USB seems like another era now) powerbanks out there but for this price point, it can fit some of the use cases like powering on a RPi for a portable IOT device or as a UPS for a router (if it supports pass through charging - I have ordered it myself to test this) etc.

Quote from PowerfulName4771 : How would this be connected to a router to supply power? Most routers have their own DC based power plug. That is definitely an added cost but in my case I already have a couple of those which I use for making my Amazon Echo devices portable (also being powered by a powerbank but a larger wattage one). So YMMV. An example of such cable is this: https://a.co/d/gclYUfO Fun fact: The Amazon listing for the above cable says that it cannot power an Amazon device but I am using it for the same from last one year without any issues.
If it allows for pass through charging, then the router can be powered using this powerbank with the help of a USB to DC port cable if you have one or can be bought separately.

Finally what is the reason for powering with a power bank? Is it only because doing so would result in usage if power goes out?
However, the USB ports of this powerbank are 5V Maximum. Won't a router need at least 10V DC? In that case how will these ports supply enough power?
